John Dubois and his wife, Tammy are the parents of seven children (the 2 youngest through adoption). John and Tammy grew up in the Wyoming, MI area, were married in 1983, and live in Grandville. John has a Mechanical Engineering degree from Michigan State University (1980) and a Masters of Divinity degree from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary (2008). John serves as our Senior Teaching Pastor and also works a second job as a software developer. Family life for the Dubois’ is full and exciting – to say the least!
Steven Kopp along with his wife Marjory and children (Summer, Benjamin, and Rachael), currently live in Wyoming. Originally from Petoskey, Steve came to Grand Rapids to attend Grand Valley State University where he got a degree in computer science in 2005. After graduation he started work as a software engineer. Steve graduated from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary in 2010 with a Masters of Divinity with an emphasis in Pastoral Studies.
Colby, as well as his wife Tori, currently live in Grand Rapids. Along with his position of Youth Ministry Director at our church, he is both a student and an academic tutor at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. Colby graduated from Great Lakes Christian College with a Bachelors in Biblical Theology in 2014 and is expected to graduate from GRTS with a Masters of Divinity in the fall of 2019. He loves reading good books, and playing fun board-games; but, his passion is mentoring teenagers and young adults into Christ-centered wisdom and Scripture-shaped lifestyles.
Becki and her husband, Eric, and live in Kentwood with their little girl, Adelaide. Becki graduated from GVSU with a degree in writing, and in addition to working with the children at WPBF, she works part time as a web interface designer. Becki is passionate about Children’s Ministry, and loves serving with and learning from these unique members of our church body.
Tim organizes and facilitates global and local outreach activities for WPBF. Prior to coming to WPBF, Tim and his wife, Donna, served 12 years as missionaries in Romania. Donna served two years as single in South America and four more in Honduras. Tim served for over a year in Liberia and three in the USA.
Tim values striking a balance between local and global outreach efforts, and is excited to reach into the changing neighborhoods of Wyoming Park for Jesus. Tim is an executive board member of the Wyoming Community Youth Coalition. This coalition consists of private citizens, nonprofit agencies, local churches, public school staff, city officials, and law enforcement personnel. He hosts monthly meetings for the After-school Resources and Progams committee of the WCYC in our own Attic.
Tim is thankful to work on expanding spiritual minitries in Wyoming and helping our own church reach out to our neighborhood. Donna is a court translator for Spanish and Romanian speakers. Tim and Donna have a son named Thomas.
