Hi all,
We decided today to cancel our Wednesday night activities (Prayer Meeting, Youth Group, and Young Explorers). I'm asking you to set aside time on Wednesday night, from 7:00 to 8:00, specifically for prayer. Even if we cannot meet together for prayer, we can still pray together. Especially now, be praying fervently for our community and your neighbors.
Thank you!
Dear Church Family,
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic we have decided to cancel in person Sunday morning worship services indefinitely. We will make decisions about future worship services and other events as the situation progresses. As the people of God, we should not be driven by fear. Jesus is our living hope. However, we are called to be wise, to care for our neighbors, and to honor the governing authorities.
To that end, we have decided to follow the recommendation of Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHSS) to cancel events of over 100 people. This is an important step in social distancing that will help slow the spread of the virus.
In place of the in person service we are hoping to either stream or pre-record the message. Pastor John will be teaching on Psalm 11 which starts with these encouraging words: In the Lord I take refuge.” We will provide more information about how to access the service at a later time.
We would also ask you to use our online giving options. There are two ways to give online. One way is to go to our website and select Give. This will allow you to give using PayPal. The other option is to download the Tithely app and search for Wyoming Park Bible Fellowship. With this app you can give using a credit/debit card or bank account.
Finally, we encourage you to follow other health recommendations provided by health professionals. Practice good hygiene. Wash your hands. Etc. And, of course, pray. Pray for those already impacted or might be in the following days, especially those at increased risk. God is our refuge. He is in control.
We will keep you posted on future developments. Thank you for your patience and faithfulness.
In Christ,
Pastor Steve
