Wednesday Evenings, 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. (During the School Year)

The aim of Young Explorers is a fun, safe environment for kids to explore God’s word. For our Bible verse time, we memorize one verse at a time as a group using hand motions. Little by little work our way through a longer passage and by the end of the semester, we can quote 10-15 verses! We work as a group so that no one gets ahead or is left behind, and no one is ever put on the spot if they don't feel comfortable reciting in front of other people.

During our Bible lessons, we all open the Bible and read it together. We really value having our children encounter the living and active Word of God, so the teacher reads the Bible aloud while the group follows along in their own Bibles. Then we stop along the way to discuss what it means. We’ve seen the kids in Young Explorers rise to the challenge and really get excited about deep spiritual truths.

“Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! ‘Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?’ ‘Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?’ For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.” (Romans 11:33-36)
