Sharing the gospel refreshes the soul

Looking back at this semester it feels as if it has been a constant battle. I feel as though I have had constant attack against me. But, God has remained faithful, but my flesh is weak and I am emotionally exhausted.

Tonight at youth group, the students were being kind of loud and disrespective, so I did my “mom snap” and glare a few times, to this one boy particular. He is new to youth group and has been coming to Attic After School now for a few months. After the discussion was over he came up to me and asked if we could talk. Instantly, I was worried that he was going to question me why I was singling him out tonight.

We walked to the back of the room and with tears in his eyes he said “I am just really struggling, I don’t know if there is a God. Like I know the stories, I am just not sure if I believe in him. It seems so farfetched.”  Instantly I felt guilty for assuming the worse from this poor boy who is obviously struggling with some real life issues. We sat down and I shared with him the basics of the gospel.

It was such a joy to share with him what I am so passionate about. And what the reason is that I help out with youth group. It is all about the gospel and what God has done for us.

God is so good to always be there for us and He has been so good to me to give me opportunities to refresh by sharing what is so important to me.

Philemon 1:6 “I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ. “

God is so good at bringing people into our lives who are crying out to understand the depth of God’s love.

Thank you, Katie, for letting God speak through you.
