“Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord. Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.”(Psalm 34:11-14)

During Children’s Church we:

  • Eat a Snack:  Just a few animal crackers and a small cup of water to make the transition easier.
  • Play Together:  Each week we have a different activity that helps us learn about taking turns, sharing, and working together.
  • Sing Songs:  We sing together to praise Jesus and learn more about him.
  • Practice a Monthly Memory Verse:  We, together with the other Children’s Ministry classes practice a theme memory verse each month.
  • Listen to a Bible Story:  We practice being good listeners while we hear a story from the New Testament of God’s Word.
  • Pray Together:  We spend time together praising God, thanking him for his blessings, and asking him to help us be more like Jesus.
  • Color a Picture:  Coloring a picture helps us remember what we learned in our Bible Story.
  • Play a Game:  Depending on how much time we have, we may have time to play a game. Our games help us learn to take turns, follow directions, and share with eachother!

During Sunday School, we:

  • Sing Songs:  During Sunday School we sing a few more songs than we sing in Children’s Church because we have a little bit more time. .
  • Learn to Pray:  We each get an opportunity to pray and learn how to lead each other in talking with God.
  • Listen to a Bible Story: In Sunday School, we read stories from the Old Testament.
  • Activity:We finish out Sunday School with a special activity: either play doh or a craft.
