On Faith: In Victory and Defeat

This passage teaches us two things. First: Defeat for the sake of Christ is really victory. Second: If you live by faith your reward will come. It might not come in this life, but it will come.

Knowing God

I am currently reading The Knowledge of the Holy, by A. W. Tozer (at the recommendation of Pastor Steve). I feel like this passage smacked me right in the face (in a good way):


This is what Jesus said to his friend Martha—right after she told him that her brother Lazarus was dead, and right before he raised Lazarus from the dead. Praise God that Jesus still raises people from the dead!
