Norene and her husband, Bob, live in Grandville and have been married 54 years. They have 2 living children (1 deceased), 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. They were transferred to Livonia, Mich. for 15 years and after returning were looking for a church and decided to attend Wyoming Park Bible because the people there were so friendly and caring and there was a great emphasis on neighborhood ministry.

Norene is involved in several areas of ministry; namely fellowship, prayer, and youth. One of the things Norene does is head up the “Caring Meals” program. This is where we provide approximately 3 meals to a family in our congregation who is experiencing severe illness, surgery, birth of a baby, or a death, etc. Norene contacts the family who is having a problem to see if they would like some help. If so, Norene coordinates people on her list who have volunteered to make a meal with the family in need and the volunteer brings the meal on the appointed day. The meals are always so appreciated. This is a wonderful way to show our love to each other.

Norene also heads up the prayer chain, in which prayer requests get circulated through a phone tree and email distribution.
